He is currently a Professor(Higher Academic Grade) in SCORE (School of Computer Science Engineering & Information Systems), VIT, at Vellore, India. He has published more than 750 technical papers in various international journals, conferences, and book chapters and has guided 52 scholars for their Ph.D/M.Phil/MS(By Research)/M.Tech(By Research) degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science. He is a fellow of IETE, ISRD, and IEI. He is a member of AISTC, ISTP, AMS, OMS, and IMS. Also, he is a senior member of IEEE, ACEEE, ACM, IRSS, and CSI. He is in the editorial board of 33 international journals like CTA, ITTA, AMMS, IJCTE, AISS, AIT, and IJPS and is a reviewer of over 90 international journals like Mathematical Reviews, Information Sciences, Analysis of Neural Networks, Journal of Knowledge Engineering, Mathematical Communications, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and Journal of Analysis. His research interest includes Fuzzy sets and systems, Rough sets and knowledge engineering, Data clustering, Soft computing, Granular computing, Theory of multisets, List theory, Content based learning, Remote laboratories, social networks, AI & Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Blockchain technology, and Decision systems.

He has received National scholarship for PG studies, UGC fellowship for pursuing Ph.D, DST fellowship for pursuing M.Tech in Computer Science, and SERC visiting fellowship of DOE(Govt. of India) to visit IIT Kharagpur. He has received major projects from UGC, DST and DRDO.

His name was included among the top 2% scientists for the year 2022 and among the top 2% career scientists in the world as compiled by Stanford University, USA.
